CHB earns Rs3.59 crores from Tatkal transfer of property services

CHANDIGARH: Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) has earned rupees over Rs 3.59 crore from the “tatkal service”, started for all transfer cases in respect of applicants of various categories after charging prescribed additional amount for speedy transfer of dwelling units. This new venture was started on September 2015 and the above said amount has been received till December 1.

CHB has revealed that that the said exercise was started in favour of allottees in a hassle-free manner within a time frame after completion of documentation on the part of allottees. Moreover, CHB also stated that the authority has provided tatkal service to 1,000 applicants of various categories till December 1 and earned Rs 3.59 crore.

“A number of people came forward to avail the new facility to get their respective works done in short time period”, said an official. Since transfer of properties under various categories was a tedious task for residents, people had to visit CHB time and again, but even after that, they were unable to get a good response.
