The association said it will construct affordable houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – housing for all. The decision to this effect was taken during Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the association.
Sunil Kotwal, president, CREDAI Nashik said, “The Prime Minister Narendra Modi desires to have home to everyone by 2022. Hence, we have decided to support the affordable housing mission of the central government. We had discussion on this issue at the AGM and the association members extended their support to construct affordable housing.”
Kotwal added, “We are also working on making the city beautiful, clean and green. We have decided to make branding of the city abroad. We had invited suggestions from our members on branding of Nashik. Accordingly, we will also brand Nashik as ‘agro tourism’ and ‘wellness centre’.
Moreover, Credai has also decided to announce the rates of houses across various parts of the city to facilitate consumers. “The Ready Reckoner (RR) rates are higher than market rates at some locations. Hence, there is confusion among people about the rates. Hence, the rates of houses in various parts of the city are to be announced shortly to facilitate consumers,” he said.
