GREATER NOIDA: In a bid to make real estate more accessible, Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) will launch an open industrial scheme on November 11. An open scheme means it will not have a closing date till the GNIDA decides it will no longer accept applications.
Officials said this is the first time GNIDA has launched a scheme, whether in the industrial, institutional, commercial or residential segments.
“To encourage entrepreneurs to set up shop here and to make the process easier, we have introduced this scheme,” said Deepak Agarwal, chief executive officer (CEO), GNIDA told TOI. “Not only will the allotment procedure be online, but the land will be allotted within 30 days to prospective allottees,” he said. “The aim is to provide entrepreneurs with a conducive environment to set up an industry,” he said.
Agarwal further said land would be allotted on a first-come-first-served basis. Land for industrial use is available in different areas of Greater Noida. “We have about 300 acres of land available. We have not defined the size of plots but will carve out the plots according to the requirements of the applicants,” he said.
