Hyderabad: Serpentine queues were seen outside different Mee Seva centres for collecting applicants for government’s 2BHK scheme. However, the MeeSeva centre’s are dispelling crowd over 1,000 to 1,200 everyday due to lack of required software to accept the applications.
However, the facility has been integrated only at Ranga Reddy district and is yet to be launched for Hyderabad residents. In the last 15 days 40,000 applications have been received for the housing scheme at Ranga Reddy district.
One of the applicants Mohammed Raheem said that although he visited Mee Seva centre at Ameerpet and Begumpet to submit his form, the authorities didn’t take his form as there was problem with their computer system.
Earlier, the housing scheme project costed Rs 5.3 lakh, but now the government has increased the project cost to Rs. 7 lakh from January.
So far two lakh applications have been received from Greater Hyderabad region alone.
