In Telangana, 8 builders prosecuted for violating fire safety norms

HYDERABAD: Telangana state disaster response and fire services department has decided to prosecute eight builders and owners for violating fire safety norms.

According to director general of fire services, Rajiv Ratan, the department conducted surprise checks in random buildings. Inspecting officers were also chosen at random.

The DG said that of the 32 buildings, 24 buildings were found to be complying with fire safety norms. The eight buildings violating rules include, Ashraya Edu Infra Services, Kandlakoya, Anand Reddy and others, Rd No. 10, Banjara Hills, Prestige Builders, Humayunnagar, Bhupattramma function hall, Sircilla road, Syed Ather Hussain and others, Lunger Houz, Sri Prema theatre, Tukkuguda and Rishi Sairam projects, Srinagar colony.
