HYDERABAD: Till the state government issues specific guidelines to accept applications for 2BHK (double bedroom) housing scheme, no applications will be accepted, Hyderabad joint collector Bharathi Hollikeri said on Monday.
Hundreds of applicants visited the Hyderabad collectorate with petitions seeking 2BHK houses during the weekly `Mee Kosam’ programme held here.After seeing the rush, she spoke to the applicants and said that the government was yet to issue guidelines.Hence, no application would be accepted, she added.
Responding to pleas of the physically-challenged persons who landed at the collectorate seeking government jobs, she said the government might issue a notification by the end of the month. “Once a notification is issued, then the process of accepting applications and recruitment will start,” the joint collector said. A group of representatives, led by general secretary, Christian Burial Ground Association, Amberpet, met the official and sought allocation of land for burial ground at Annapurna Nagar in Amberpet.
A representation was also received from a resident of Langer Houz in Golconda mandal, Ashok Goud, requesting the district administration protect government land to an extent of 101 square yards from land sharks. The joint collector directed the revenue sub-divisional officer, Hyderabad to visit the site and protect the land. In another representation, Sudershan, State Shiva Sena Greater Hyderabad in-charge, asked the JC to protect 1,861 sq yards endowment land from land sharks.
