Lottery held for affordable flats at Bhopal

The Bhopal Development Authority (BDA) on Wednesday organised a lottery for the distribution of two BHK flats or LIG flats to the beneficiaries at Samanvay Bhawan, New Market Bhopal on Wednesday. The lottery for the one BHK flats was organized on Tuesday.

The name of Salehari Devi (token number 1) was firstly selected in the lottery. Flat number 4/ 101 was allotted to her on Wednesday. Similarly, other the flat numbers was also allotted to the people during the lottery.

The list of flat numbers of the beneficiaries would be uploaded to the website of BDA (www.bda.org.in).

Notably, to benefit the weaker sections of the society, Bhopal Development Authority (BDA) has constructed 1080 LIG flats and 896 EWS flats under Barrai phase 1 scheme of ‘Gauri Shankar Kaushal’ affordable housing scheme in which Two BHK flat costs Rs 10 lakh while one BHK flat costs Rs 5 lakh.

There are around 18 blocks of 2 BHK or LIG flats while every block has around 60 LIGs. The parking facility is situated on the ground floor of every block as well as two lifts have been constructed in every block. There are six floors in a block including the ground floor while every floor has 10 flats. The area of a LIG is 550 square feet.

Notably, around 1080 LIG and 896 EWS flats have been constructed by the BDA near 60 metre wide road of the master plan. As many as 1911 people have completed their registration for the flats while 1220 people have submitted their applications for 2 BHK flat.
