NCDRC orders builder to handover flat within a month

HYDERABAD: Making it clear that the purposeful delays being caused by an errant real estate developer cannot be condoned, the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) has dismissed the revision petition filed by Hyderabad-based realtor, M/s Gharonda Builders and Developers, and upheld the judgement of the Hyderabad District Consumer Forum, which directed the realtor to hand over the promised flat to a customer within a month.

The National Commission pronounced this judgement after hearing a petition moved by Sunil Sachdev of Gharonda Builders, who moved the appellate forum nine months after the district forum judgement. The legal tussle was the result of a petition filed by an aggrieved couple J Aparnaji and T Prem Kalyan of Bangalore.
