CHENNAI: Coming on the heels of the December deluge that cast shadow on the city’s realty sector, the just-concluded three-day property expo FAIRPRO 2016 here saw a sale of 320 properties generating revenue of about Rs 285 crore, organisers have said.
The annual event –FAIRPRO 2016 — backed by real estate developer body CREDAI and held from February 19-21 resulted in 22,800 footfalls and bookings of 320 properties.
“Total revenue generated is around Rs 285 crore. It is indeed a pointer that the realty sector is poised for steady growth (after the floods),” a press release said.
Some 80 developers took part in the event and over 300 properties priced between Rs 10 lakh to Rs 10 crore were booked.

The city and suburbs were battered by unprecedented rains in November-December, resulting in floods in several areas.
