Dubai: The city of Dubai has not fallen short when it comes to impressive architecture – and will soon welcome a new addition to its growing repertoire. Set to open in December 2016, The Opus comprises of two towers in the shape of a cube that will be home to commercial space, as well as luxury serviced residences.
Property developer Omniyat is responsible for the 23-storey luxury serviced residences of 96 apartments, which is also set to feature a design hotel that when combined, will cover a total of 151,303 square feet. Located in Burj Khalifa District, residents are promised with fantastic views of the Burj Khalifa, Mohammad Bin Rashid City and the creek.
According to Omniyat’s website, the residences will feature a temperature-controlled swimming pool, a gymnasium and a world-class spa. Residents of the luxury tower will also have access to a ‘lifestyle concierge’ who will deliver a la carte and preselected services to their doorstep. The luxury serviced residences at The Opus will be furnished with furniture and fixtures exclusively hand-picked by the late Dame Zaha Hadid, who was also responsible for designing the high-rise tower.
Each apartment is going to be an individually crafted art piece. The highest floor, which is located above the 50 meter bridge connection between the two towers, will feature all the relaxing and inventive features, including a Tranquillity Zone, a beach deck with reflective pool and shaded roof terrace, media zone and a gym. The interior of the commercial tower is clad with a fully engineered curved glass curtain wall-system to allow for stunning views into the void, while providing visual privacy from views from other offices.
