27-year-old yoga instructor Aditi Manja in association with Inorbit Mall will start an initiative called Sunday Funday to spread awareness about health and yoga. She will be offering free Hatha yoga classes from this Sunday at the Inorbit mall in Whitefield.
A trained Indian contemporary folk dancer and a techie, Manja said, “After working in the corporate sector for a while I realised that I didn’t enjoy it much. After shifting from Mumbai to Bangalore in 2013, I wanted to try something different. The shift to yoga happened gradually as I got interested in the beauty and benefits of yoga.”
Speaking about her initiative Sunday Funday, she said, “The aim of this initiative is to organise an activity based Sunday morning where people (adults) get together and do something fun. The idea is to get people to wake up early on a Sunday and come together and practice yoga. This not only helps in general well being of the practitioner but also community building.”
The classes will be held from 7.30-8.30 am and will commence from October 11. Participants are required to bring along their own yoga mat and a hand towel.
